Tasos Rallis
Brides, fish, music, dance, and maternity have been subjects
for ceramic art by Tasos Rallis. His style is rustic and
emotional. Tasos uses metals and paints to to add levels
and dimensions to his work. I visited his workshop to watch
Tasos at work and see his production first hand. Tasos explained
his idea of "structuring the material to trace its
own course." Not only do you see the process of development
in each piece, but each one bears a clear expression and
tells a story with its shape. It is only Tasos, and his
sister occasionally, who bring each piece to life by hand.
Even so, Tasos Rallis manages to produce enough products
to sell throughout Greece and abroad. His works are sold
in Belgium, America, Cyprus and many islands in Greece,
such as, Crete, Corfu, Santorini (Apollon
Art Gallery), and Rhodes. He has studied ceramic art,
painting, and sculpture and is a member of a large organization
of ceramicists in Greece known as Keramevs.
Tasos takes part in exhibitions regularly in Greece and
is now available for contact through this guide and personal
email. Tasos continues to expand his partners abroad and
is successfully sell his works. He is respected for his
talents in Greece and considered an excellent ceramist.
