Vagelis Zarkadoulas has owned this hip little shop in Plaka
for 3 years. It stands out from the others, because of its
Rastafarian feel. I was also impressed to see that Vagelis
was offering the handmade jewelry from one of my favorite
Cretan artisans, Carolla
Harzipavlou.
Vagelis, an artisan himself, fabricates leather tobacco
cases, round colorful (collapseable - easy to take home!)
lampshades, unique purses, and other items, all available
exclusively at Tribus.
In the summer you can also add further excitement to your
trip by getting a henna tattoo or piercing right in the
shop!
It’s an excellent shop for students and youthful travelers.
The prices are more than affordable and in most cases, you
will still be getting the work of a contemporary Greek artisan.
