Marianna Zalekska-Apostopoulou

Marianna works out of her private studio in Athens. She
is featured today in Greek art galleries and her work has
also been shown in New York at the Soho Art Gallery (1989),
the Atelier Gallery (1989), and the Young Artist Gallery
(1990). She has taught lessons and continues to take them
to continue expanding her talent. Marianna's artwork was
shown recently at Epistrofi Gallery in Psirri (2002-2003),
Athens. She has also won a contest to design the posters
to be used for a cultural festival being held in Ithaki
(2003). Marianna s specialty is using clay on canvas. She
then paints colorful landscapes and imagery on the clay
after it has dried and cracked.
Moreover, Marianna also does incredible, giant wall pieces
custom made for homes or businesses. If you are interested
in seeing more of her work while you are in Greece, you
may call or email her to arrange an appointment for a private
meeting in her studio. I would encourage this in order to
really see the full impression of her work. The detail and
colors are fascinating! Her studio is very near Ermou St.
in Syntagma Square. She speaks both English and Greek perfectly
and is very enthusiastic about sharing her work. If you
are not planning on being in Greece and are interested in
speaking or working with Marianna, you may email her for
prices or special order.
