Armao Iakovo
This workshop opened in 1981, but the passion for jewel
design and the distinguishable style of "Armao"
date clear back to 1977. Still exclusive to Greece, it is
now time for the rest of us to recognize the talents of
Iakovo Armao. His techniques, use of colors, and natural
elements, have earned him a reputation that sets him ahead
of the rest.
Using only raw components, like exotic seashells, semi-precious
stones, crystals, pearls, and gold, Iakovo manages to create
stunning jewelry with an earthy, comfortable feel. Each
piece is the result of a long series of tedious steps all
done by hand. The final result is an individual, expressive
design that can never be duplicated. Once the collections
have completed the steps, Iakovo ensures the quality for
each piece with his name stamped inside. Then, the individual
pieces are labeled and tagged with a description of the
components that were used to create the piece. The pride
and care in the works of "Armao" are obvious.
It is no wonder his designs have been one of the top sellers
in Greece! I, personally, own four of his pieces already.
With each piece so different from the other, I can never
get enough!
