Maria Psarianou
Interestingly, Maria Psarianou studied law and worked as
a lawyer for three years, before deciding to leave it to
follow her deeper passion of jewelry design. She decided
to attend the Mokume School to study the intricacies of
jewelry design. Later, Maria shared her talents there with
others as a teacher specializing in handmade jewelry. Fortunately
for us, in 2000 she began selling her own signature line
and continues to be a successful producer in the Greek market
today.
Using 18 and 22-karat yellow and pink gold, she begins
by taking a simple shape and turning it into a form with
movement and fluidity. Then, Maria likes to add a touch
of something unexpected. Maybe by combining polished with
matte gold, or by accenting with pearls, in her tasteful
style, she gives a playful personality to each piece. The
result is a collection of sophisticated jewelry, wearable
with casual or formal attire, bold enough to catch your
eye, but always classy, never over embellished or confused.
Maria's collections are found in select shops throughout
Greece. You may also catch her every year at the Gold and
Silver Exhibition in Athens. For a full catalog and pricing,
you may contact her personally via email or phone/fax. Maria's
work is exquisite! All her designs are original and handmade.
You won't be disappointed!
