CITY Cocktail Bar
An Excellent spot for to get a coffee in the morning or
to enjoy a drink in the evening.
CITY opened its doors 16 years ago in 1988 and for that
on the 5th of December 2004 it will celebrate its birthday.
The owners Makis Prinopoulos & Yiannis Magoutas have
done a wonderful job creating a beautifull bar located in
a small street named ?Haritos? which lies at the foot of
the famous LYKABETTUS HILL. Designed with excellent taste,
you can enjoy both inside or outside. In front has been
created a small paradise with palmtrees and a lot of green
and in combination with its terrace its for sure a spot
were you can relax and enjoy.
All through the year they're small exhibitions of Greek
photographers showing their work and recently they started
projecting moving images outside on the wall.
CITY is well known for these qualities and even people
from other areas in Athens come here to meet one another.When
it?s too crowded people slowely start sitting on doorsteps
for nothing can keep them away.
For foreigners it's not easy to find for it's quite hidden.
Most of you who make the big walk to the top of The LIKABETTUS
HILL should take a breath here. From The big street VAS.
SOFIAS were is the metro station EVAGELISMOS it's about
a 10 minute walk up hill, between MARASLI str. And PLOUTARHOU
str. Meeting the street named SPEFSIPPOU there it is next
to an open-air cinema ATHINA.
CITY "coctail bar" opens at 8:30 in the morning
and suppose to close at 03:30 in the night but when the
atmosfer stays high this hour changes quickly. In the weekends
the timings are free, so don't worry you won't find it closed.
For now we know that on the 5th of December there will
be a big celebration for it?s birthday of 16 years and with
the carnaval in February 2005 again CITY will organize special
events.
