Art Space Gallery
Art Space is tucked back off the main road in Exo Gonia,
Santorini. Just follow the signs along the dirt road and
you will discover this maze of tunnels lined with paintings
by Greece’s top and upcoming artists. Of course, you’ll
first find the owner, Antonis, inside; the man responsible
for creating what is one of the best exhibitions in Greece
today and written revered highly in many European magazines
and travel guides.
Antonis travels throughout Greece to visit each artist
and better understand the energy and environment from which
their art takes its form. He selects the artists for his
gallery based on his educated perception of their work does
not ignore the lesser-known talent. You will be welcomed
with a guided tour of this intriguing building from 1830,
provided with background information on each artist, and
given a sample of the wine Antonis produces himself in this
very building. If you are a lover of paintings, Art Space
does an impeccable job at introducing the best of Greece
to you! I wish I had more photos, but I was not allowed
