The first things you'll notice about this cozy shop are
the hard wood floors and friendly cats, typically snoring
in front of the floor heater inside during the cooler months.
Then you're sure to be greeted by Savvas Zoidis, the owner
of the shop. As you enter you'll notice the beautiful traditional
Greek dresses and scarves. These elegant pieces are handmade
by his wife, Demeter.
This shop is a stand out because it carries the best quality
in bronzed Cycladic masks, Spartan helmets, and ancient
statue copies in Plaka. You will also find beautiful round
hand painted ceramic boxes with classic Greek designs by
artist, "Liana" and beautiful icons made by renowned
artist Pavlos Evangelopoulos. Towards the windows, you'll
see unique pieces of silver and gold jewelry and along the
back of the shop, you'll discover intricate antique metal
belts from ancient Greek folk costumes. It's a lovely store
with definitely a different feeling than the rest. Prices
are very reasonable and the atmosphere is always welcoming
and relaxing while you shop.
